Bike the “Virginia Creeper Trail”

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

The easiest and prettiest mountain bike ride you will ever encounter.

THIS IS NOT MOUNTAIN BIKING!

Actually, the trail is a retired railway corridor (of the Virginia-Carolina Railroad) with a gentle grade and a well-groomed surface-----perfect for bikers of all abilities.  Visit train depot museums along the trail!  Cross the Appalachian Trail!  Enjoy the fall season! The date we have secured should be in prime leaf-viewing season!

The trail is approximately 17 miles long, slight grade downhill all the way, and it begins for us in Damascus VA, (about a 3-hour drive from Tellico Village).
