New Villager socials are held the first Thursday of each
month. They are a great way to meet the newest New Villagers, sign up for
activities, and visit with friends. A cash bar with "Happy Hour" prices is
available. Every month there is a dinner with fellow
New Villagers after the social at the Yacht Club.
Tables are set up at the socials for sign-ups for
activities such as Dining Out, Muddy Boots, Couples Golf, and special
activities. The social is the best time to hear about activities in which you
may be interested. If you think you may want to sign up for activities, bring
your checkbook to secure your reservation.
New members can expect to be greeted at the door and
given an "I'm New!" nametag so other guests can recognize you as a "newbie".
Greeters for the socials are New Villagers Club volunteers. Next, stop at the "New
Member Breakfast" table, hosted by Norm and Linda Williams, where you
can sign up for the new members breakfast, usually held the following
Monday. Later, you will be asked to introduce
yourself, telling your names, where you live in the Village, where you came
from, and how you heard about Tellico Village. It's all very painless.
After the social the New Villagers host a dinner at the Yacht club. You may sign up for the dinner during the social between 5 and 6 pm or contact Brenda Evans, 408-9880, brenda.evans@charter.net for information about the dinner.
